Cadbury Brand Is Giving Pets the Chance to Be a TV Star

The Iconic Cadbury Commercial is Looking to Add a New Face This Season

HERSHEY, Pa., Feb. 20, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- For the first time ever, Cadbury, one of America’s top Easter brands, is giving one lucky pet the chance to star in its iconic Clucking Bunny commercial. For over 35 years, the Cadbury brand has been running the iconic ad where animals try out to be the next Cadbury bunny. For Easter 2019, the Cadbury team is inviting pets nationwide to participate in the “Bunny Tryouts” by simply snapping a photo of themselves wearing a pair of bunny ears.

The Cadbury brand has officially opened its “Bunny Tryouts,” offering proud pet owners a chance to have their pet appear in the brand’s iconic Clucking Bunny commercial. To cast the newest star, the Cadbury brand enlisted the help of insta-famous star Doug the Pug. Doug the Pug (and his owner) will serve as an honorary judge to help select the next pet who will star alongside the Cadbury bunny himself in this year’s commercial.

“You can’t go a day without seeing adorable pets flood your social media channels. The pride that pet moms and dads have for their fur babies is undeniable,” said Katrina Vatter, Marketing Team Member, Cadbury US brand. “For years we’ve seen sweet photos of their animals donning the famous Cadbury bunny ears and now we want to give pet owners the chance to show off their pets in our iconic ad.”

From dogs and cats to pigs, monkeys and more, animal lovers nationwide can enter their pets in Cadbury’s “Bunny Tryouts” through March 6, 2019 by submitting a photo of their pet wearing bunny ears on bunnytryouts.cadburyusa.com. On March 7, 2019, twenty semi-finalists will be selected to submit videos of their pet to be featured on the brand’s social channels, and one lucky semi-finalist’s pet will be selected as the winner and featured in the 2019 Easter commercial and will also receive $5,000. In addition, Cadbury brand will be donating $10,000 to The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals® (ASPCA®), the longest-standing animal welfare organization in North America which serves as the nation’s leading voice for animals.

No bunny … or cat, dog, horse, pig, cow, monkey, or maybe even turtle knows Easter better than Cadbury.
