SolarWinds to Join the Discussion on Near-Peer Competition at AFCEA West 2018

SolarWinds invites attendees to visit booth 2010 for in-depth tech demonstrations and complimentary networking and end-user events

HERNDON, Va., Jan. 31, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- SolarWinds, a leading provider of powerful and affordable IT management software, today announced its upcoming participation in AFCEA West 2018, which will take place on February 6 – 8 in San Diego, California. SolarWinds will demonstrate how its network, systems, applications, security, and database management solutions can help military IT professionals modernize their networks. The company is planning a free technical briefing at the Hard Rock Hotel® that will offer insights into agency use cases and challenges, as well as some client-specific recommendations. The company also will host a complimentary networking reception for attendees at Float, located on the Hard Rock Hotel rooftop.

AFCEA West, now in its 28th year of bringing military and industry leaders together, is the premier naval conference and exposition on the West Coast, providing the opportunity for senior military and government officials to gain valuable feedback directly from Sea Services war fighters. The SolarWinds presence at the event enables U.S. and allied military and government decision-makers to learn how SolarWinds® tools can help protect and optimize their IT systems supporting Sea Services operations.

“State and non-state actors around the world have become increasingly capable of launching sophisticated attacks against the U.S., reinforcing the need for the strong and defensible cyber infrastructures outlined in the National Security Strategy,” said David Kimball, senior vice president, federal and national government, SolarWinds. “We look forward to meeting with our military customers at AFCEA West to discuss how SolarWinds IT management portfolio can help them bolster their cyber security postures while building resilient IT infrastructures.”

“The DoD continues to be burdened by increasingly sophisticated cyberattacks and challenged by the need to secure data in the midst of modernization and cloud migration efforts,” added Paul Parker, chief technologist, federal and national government, SolarWinds. “At this year’s AFCEA West event, the SolarWinds team will be demonstrating a range of IT management products that will help the DoD and contractors of the Sea Services improve data security through better risk management and stronger IT controls.”
