FEMA Seeks Blue or Black Roof Sheeting

Will Base Award on Lowest-Priced, Technically Acceptable Response


Washington, D.C., Sept. 18, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), released on Saturday, September 16, a combined synopsis/solicitation in which it outlined plans to procure 50,000 blue or black roof sheeting from a qualified government contractor.

Interested and capable contractors must act fast – FEMA is accepting responses only until 2 p.m. EST today, Monday, September 18.

According to the combined synopsis/solicitation, FEMA intends to award a firm fixed-price contract; the applicable North American Industry Classification Standard (NAICS) Code is 624310; and the small business size standard is $32.5 Million.

The contract, once issued, will be for 50,000 blue or black roof sheeting and freight, and also include an option to procure more than this original 50,000.

The contractor who receives the contract must delivery the roof sheeting within two weeks of receiving the award (though no later than November 30, 2017).

According to the combined synopsis/solicitation, FEMA will base its contract award on the Lowest-Priced, Technically Acceptable (LPTA) response.

Interested and capable contractors must e-mail FEMA-NRCC-CAUL@fema.dhs.gov, Lashawn.smith@fema.dhs.gov , Isaac.chapple@fema.dhs.gov and FEMA-NRCC-CAS@fema.dhs.gov by no later than today, September 18, at 2 p.m. EST. Responses must include company name, company DUNS number, and point of contact information.
