E-Tronics Receives Financial Assistance from Government of Canada for Productivity Enhancement

LAVAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Feb. 9, 2012) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that the firm E-Tronics, which recently opened a plant in Laval, is receiving financial support from the Government of Canada to acquire a new production line and increase its productivity.

"The Government of Canada is always ready to lend its support to enterprises like E-Tronics, to ensure the development of our advanced technology sectors and invigorate our economy," said Minister Lebel..

E-Tronics specializes in the design and manufacture of custom electromechanical systems for small and medium-sized enterprises and prime contractors in the transport, military equipment and aeronautics sectors, as well as in the medical industry. As part of its recent merger with E-Circuits, a related company that manufactures printed circuit boards, E-Tronics undertook a realignment of its activities by bringing research and development, printed circuit board manufacturing and electronic component assembly under one roof.

The acquisition of a new production line, with high-precision equipment, will enable E-Tronics to meet important goals: make significant productivity gains, bolster its competitiveness, meet growing customer demand and increase its sales and market share in Canada, the United States, Europe and Brazil.
