BNP Paribas CIB Appoints John Bohan Head of Commodity Futures, Americas


NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Dec 14, 2011) - BNP Paribas Corporate and Investment Banking is pleased to announce the appointment of John Bohan as Head of Commodity Futures, Americas. John is based in New York and reports globally to Tim Knight, Global Head of Commodity Futures in London and locally to Marc Fontaine, Head of Commodity Derivatives, Americas.

"John brings a wealth of both commercial and marketing experience to the platform and will be key in the further development of our exchange cleared commodities business in the Americas," commented Tim Knight.

Prior to this role, John has held senior management positions at BNP Paribas including Head of Global Execution Services where he was responsible for managing the growth and development of the bank's cash equity sales, trading and electronic execution business in the Americas. John has over 20 years of trading, risk management and sales experience in global equities and held senior trading and management roles at Deutsche Bank, BancBoston, Bankers Trust and ING Barings before joining BNP Paribas.
