"Newforma Webinars on Wednesdays" to Demonstrate How to Solve PIM Challenges

"Newforma WoW" Program to Run EVERY Wednesday Starting March 23rd

MANCHESTER, NH--(Marketwire - March 15, 2011) -  Newforma®, a project information management (PIM) software company connecting architecture, engineering and construction firms worldwide, announced today that it will host a weekly PIM webinar series, "Newforma WoW: Webinars on Wednesdays," beginning March 23 at 12:00 noon Eastern Daylight Time (-4 GMT).

The Newforma WoW series of product demonstrations show how the Newforma PIM solution can resolve many of the PIM challenges AEC project teams face every day. Each webinar is free and will last 30-60 minutes with ample opportunity for attendees to ask questions. To register, go to http://tinyurl.com/NewformaWoW-Registration or click on the titles in the WoW series schedule:

  • March 23 - "Step One to digital photo management: the Project Images activity center" - This webinar will demonstrate how the Newforma Project Images activity center is used to manage the ever-expanding volume of digital site photos and project images, including how to locate images regardless of their location in project folders.

  • March 30 - "Managing drawing revisions: the Newforma Document Control activity center" - This webinar will explain how the Newforma Document Control activity center is used to track and manage the flow of drawing and related document revisions regardless of file type or origin. Further, the session will demonstrate how standardizing revision management of record documents improves design and construction quality, reduces risk and eliminates unnecessary, error-prone administrative tasks.

  • April 6 - "Managing the 'I' in BIM: the Newforma Add-in for Revit and space management" - This webinar will discuss how the Newforma Add-in for Autodesk Revit expands the value of an investment in BIM by bringing PIM capabilities into the Autodesk Revit suite. In this session, attendees will learn how to connect room and space planning spreadsheets with live Revit models; enable programming and Revit modeling staff to work asynchronously on a coordinated project room and space program; and quickly edit room and space parameters from outside the design application.

  • April 13 - "Managing the 'I' in BIM: the Newforma Add-in for Revit and building element data management" - This webinar will show another way to expand the value of an investment in BIM through connecting building elements such as doors, curtain walls, equipment, HVAC or structural components across multiple models to the Building Information Management activity center in Newforma Project Center, where building element properties can be added, modified, linked to related PIM processes and synchronized back to their respective models.

  • April 20 - "Managing the 'I' in BIM: the Newforma Add-in for Revit and coordination of design changes" - In this webinar, attendees will discover how PIM processes for managing action items, markups, RFIs and punch lists can be linked to Revit models and elements to more efficient and timely resolution of design and constructability challenges with BIM-based project execution.

  • May 4 - "From discussion to action items: the Meeting Minutes activity center" - This webinar will detail how the new Meeting Minutes activity center synchronizes with Microsoft Office Outlook to add value to meetings by tracking meeting commitments such as action items, RFIs and other open project issues until resolution without disrupting current meeting scheduling practices.

  • May 11 - "PIM on the go: Access project data from smartphones, tablets and more" - This webinar will demonstrate how project team members can use smartphones, iPads, Android tablets and laptops to stay connected with project information and processes while working remotely to eliminate unnecessary delays.

**Please note: there will not be a Newforma WoW on April 27 as the company will be hosting its first annual user conference, Nugget2011.
