Capcom(R) Opens an Arcade on Apple's App Store With the Release of Capcom Arcade

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - November 4, 2010) -  Return to the heyday of the arcade in all its retro glory with the release of Capcom Arcade for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Free to download and offering three free plays a day, Capcom Arcade is packed with four of Capcom's most popular coin-op titles including Street Fighter II®, the original Ghouls 'N Ghosts, 1942 and Commando.

Capcom Arcade features near pixel-perfect translations of these four classics games. Each day players will get three free plays that they can use for any game in the arcade. If they'd like to play more, additional "Tokens" can be purchased in the Capcom Arcade and mega fans can also buy a "Cabinet" outright for unlimited play and maximum value.

Additionally, Capcom Arcade offers two play modes for each game, "iPhone Mode" and "Original Mode." "iPhone Mode" offers a slightly more forgiving gameplay experience, while "Original Mode," as the name implies, is an exact representation of the original difficulty and controls. Players can further customize their gameplay experience with special premium DLC "cheats" that unlock special abilities, upgrades and weapons like extra planes in 1942 or body armor for Commando.

Capcom Arcade is available on the Apple App Store for free. Additional games will be added on a monthly basis. Ten tokens are available for $.99 as an in-app purchase or players can buy any game "Cabinet" outright and play as much as they like for a one-time $2.99 in-app purchase price.
