Integral Systems Maximizes Customer Profits from Service Level Agreements in Latest Release of its COMPASS Network Management Product Suite

COMPASS Service Manager from Newpoint Technologies Introduces Service Management and Related Alarming into the TrueNorth Graphical User Interface

COLUMBIA, Md., Aug. 3, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Integral Systems, Inc, (Nasdaq:ISYS) announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Newpoint Technologies, has released the latest version of its industry-leading COMPASS Network Management Software (NMS) solution. COMPASS version 7.2 includes service management functionality via Service Folders to help customers maximize profits from their Service Level Agreements (SLA). COMPASS Service Manager immediately notifies operators when network issues occur, providing an overview of affected network services and traffic. In addition, operators can view services at risk because of minor alarms on the equipment or when a backup unit is unavailable.

"Introducing the concept of Service Management into the COMPASS network management system is something our customers have been requesting more and more to allow them to manage the network in the same manner as the network drives their revenues," said Wally Martland, President of Newpoint Technologies. "By allowing the operator to see what services are affected when an equipment failure occurs, they are able to quickly recover high-priority and high-revenue services, maximizing profits from the SLAs established with their customers."

In addition to providing Service Folders, the new version of Compass also provides a new reconciliation tool for equipment being managed by the COMPASS NMS with the COMPASS Inventory Management System (IMS). As users add or remove equipment from the network or make equipment changes, the reconciliation tool automatically updates COMPASS IMS, significantly reducing valuable time spent on manual configuration and providing accurate inventory accounting.

Additional enhancements to TrueNorth can also be found in COMPASS 7.2 that make it even easier for the user to customize the interface with virtual points and virtual devices that accommodate a variety of advanced and automated operational concepts.

COMPASS 7.2 with TrueNorth 3.5 began shipping on July 1. Pricing is dependent on the scope and size of deployment. For additional information on the entire suite of COMPASS products, please visit www.newpointtech.com.
