CHICAGO, July 6, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Heidrick & Struggles International, Inc. (Nasdaq:HSII), the leadership advisory firm providing executive search and leadership consulting services worldwide, today announced that Richard Thackray and Jonathan Goldstein have joined the firm's global Private Equity Practice.
Mr. Thackray joined the firm as a partner in London, and Mr. Goldstein as a partner in New York. Both will focus on regional clients within the private equity sector, managing senior-level administration, operations, and searches for private equity funds and their investment management portfolio companies.
Mr. Thackray was previously CEO and partner of Armstrong Management Group, a leadership advisory and executive search consultancy focused on private equity and asset management firms across Continental Europe and Russia. He was earlier a partner at Elwin Capital Partners, where he was responsible for managing two major investment portfolios. His other past experiences include chief operating officer of the U.K.-based online bank First E, divisional marketing and strategy director within Thomas Cook Holdings, associate director at Morgan Grenfell Private Equity, and case team leader at The Boston Consulting Group. He began his career as an officer in the Royal Navy.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Mr. Goldstein was a client partner at a global executive search firm and previously spent eight years, the last four as partner, with Sextant Search Partners, a boutique firm with an emphasis on searches for financial services and alternative asset management firms. He also has extensive investment management experience. He is a former vice president in the private equity and venture capital unit of Sun Capital Partners in Florida and former director and fund manager within Absolut Invest Capital Management's brokerage and investment unit in Moscow, Russia. Mr. Goldstein also held senior investment management positions with AIG Capital Management and New Century Holdings, both based in Moscow.
