Improving market conditions helped SAF-HOLLAND S.A. achieve a significant
increase in earnings in the first quarter. According to preliminary
figures, adjusted EBIT in the first three months of 2010 amounted to
approximately EUR 4.8 million (Q1 2009: EUR -0.5 million), which
corresponds to an increase of 4.5 million EUR when compared with the fourth
quarter of 2009. Group sales also climbed in the reporting period,
according to preliminary figures, to approximately EUR 125.0 million (Q1
2009: 112.1). This represents an increase of EUR 21.8 million or 21.1%
compared to the fourth quarter of 2009.
