RAUTE TO RECEIVE A SIGNIFICANT ORDER FOR A PLYWOOD MILL IN THE ASIA-PACIFIC     
REGION                                                                          

Raute Corporation has received a significant order comprising almost all        
production lines for a plywood mill in the Asia-Pacific region. The customer is 
a well-established plywood producing company. The machinery deliveries will take
place from June to September 2010 and the start-up of the mill by summer 2011.  

The customer doesn't want to publish more detailed information on the project at
this point. The value of similar mill-scale machinery deliveries made by Raute  
typically exceeds EUR 15 million.                                               

The received order improves Raute's order book and reduces the need for         
adaptation measures in the machine design and production of the Nastola plant   
during 2010. Despite this received order Raute's order book is not at a level to
maintain normal workload, which means that adaptation measures must be continued
due to productional and financial reasons. As a whole the market situation of   
Raute's customer industries hasn't yet returned to a normal level. The demand   
for productional investments and services in the wood products industry is still
at a lower level than normally.
