Eleven Interiors Completes Project for The Room to Dream Foundation

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - December 28, 2009) - The Room to Dream Foundation recently completed their latest project with the assistance of Michael Ferzoco, president and founder of Eleven Interiors, Boston, and his design assistant Stacy Courniotes. The project, located south of Boston, is a two bedroom renovation that required the widening of one bedroom door for the accessibility of a wheelchair, organizational upgrades, air conditioning, framing, and complete furniture replacement and decorating. Eleven Interiors worked with the construction team from the Eastern Massachusetts chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (EM NARI) who completed the structural changes.

The Room to Dream Foundation is a Boston-based non-profit whose mission is to create healing environments in hospitals, communities, and homes for children and adolescents who are facing chronic illnesses. As they recuperate and recover, the hope is that their renovated spaces will improve their quality of life, promote strength, imagination, self-worth, and aid in their recovery processes. The foundation typically completes 2 to 3 projects a month and relies on donations of monies, services and goods.

"I first connected with The Room to Dream Foundation in 2008 by designing a holiday room for their annual Festival of Wreaths fundraising event," explains Michael. "After this experience with the foundation I wanted to participate on a much deeper level. To the best of my knowledge there are no other foundations dedicated to helping chronically ill children who are forced to spend a great deal of time in their rooms. Being able to create a space that can brighten the lives of these children is very rewarding."

Eleven Interiors' design philosophy combines European 20th century vintage selections with custom designed furniture, contemporary pieces, and accessories to develop distinct, stylish and functional interiors. A project completed by the firm recently graced the cover of the July/August issue of Design New England Magazine, and the firm is also the recipient of the 2009 Gold PRISM Award -- presented by the Builders Association of Greater Boston -- for Best Interior Design - Living Space. Additionally, Eleven Interiors consistently garners regional and national recognition and has been featured in a number of publications including Elle Décor, Boston Common Magazine, Boston Spirit Magazine and the Sunday Boston Globe Magazine.
