Kfar-Saba, Israel, November 9, 2009. - Orad Hi-Tec Systems Ltd. (ISIN
IL0010838071; symbol: OHT), a world-leading provider of real-time
broadcasting and virtual graphical solutions, has improved its net profit
in Q3/2009 by 30% compared to the same period last year and by 103%
compared to Q2. Net profit in Q3 exceeded $800K compared to $700K in the
same period last year and $400K in Q2/2009. The development of the gross
margin was favourable with an increase to 71% in Q3/2009 compared to 69% in
the same quarter last year. Cash flow in the quarter was $2,400K, causing
cash, cash equivalents and restricted cash to increase to $16,100K compared
to $14,800K one year ago. The positive trend for 2009 also included
revenues which exceeded Q2 by 18% in Q3 at $6,700K. Revenues for Q3 are
still down by the same amount compared to last year.
For the first nine months of 2009, revenues totalled $17,900K which is 25%
below the comparative value of $23,900K for last year. Net profit at the
end of Q3/2009 is $1,000K compared to $2,600K last year. Earnings per share
are $0.09 compared to $0.24 last year.
The order volume developed very favourably in Q3/2009 so that the backlog
has recovered to the record level before the crisis. Thanks to this
development, Orad believes the positive business developments will continue
in Q4/2009. The recently introduced slow motion server for sports
broadcasting applications, which has already generated initial orders, also
contributes to this expectation. This server promises significant growth
potential for Orad in 2010.
