According to resolution adopted by the Supervisory Council for the public joint stock company Ventspils nafta, Simon Boddy has been elected as the fourth member of the company's Management Board for three years. Thereby the persons working in the Management Board for JSC Ventspils nafta will include its Chairperson and the company's President Olga Pētersone, Legal Director Ilva Purēna, Financial Director Normunds Staņēvičs, as well as S.Boddy. S.Boddy is an Oil Executive with 30 years of experience. In the Oxford University in United Kingdom he has obtained master's degree in mathematics, but in the College of Law in London - postgraduate diploma in law. The new member of Management Board for JSC Ventspils nafta has worked in such companies as Shell Oil and BP Southern Africa in Cape Town, South Africa; BP Oil International, Petraco (UK) Ltd. and Attock Oil Services (UK) Ltd. in London; Deutsche BP in Hamburg, Germany. Since 1989, S.Boddy has worked in various responsible leading positions in the international corporation Vitol Group of Companies. For example, he has managed work on Vitol's European and African processing deals at the Vitol S.A. London office, he has been President of Vitol Energy (Bermuda) Ltd., Chief Representative of Vitol Group's Moscow office, Manager of Vitol's offices in Kazakhstan and Lithuania, as well Chairman of BNK, Vitol's terminal in Kaliningrad. Since 2009, S.Boddy is also Managing Director of ETOS Latvia - he is responsible for all Vitol's commercial activities in Latvia.
