Trading in Huhtamäki Oyj's option rights 2003 A, 2003 B and 2003 C will end on October 14, 2009

HUHTAMÄKI OYJ STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE 17.9.2009 AT 15.00

The period of subscription for shares under option rights 2003 A,
2003 B and 2003 C attached to Huhtamäki Oyj's 2003 option rights plan
is annually between May 2 and October 31 on such days as defined by
the company. The period of subscription for shares shall cease under
the 2003 option rights plan on October 31, 2009. According to the
decision of the Board of Directors of Huhtamäki Oyj the last possible
subscription date for shares under option rights 2003 A, 2003 B and
2003 C is October 21, 2009. Trading on NASDAQ OMX Helsinki Ltd. will
end according to the Rules of the Stock Exchange on the fifth trading
day immediately preceding the last possible share subscription date,
i.e. on Wednesday October 14, 2009.

The last possible subscription dates for shares under the 2003 option
rights plan are:

- Wednesday September 30, 2009 and
- Wednesday October 21, 2009.

Share subscription prices are:

- 2003 A, subscription price for one share: EUR 6.78
- 2003 B, subscription price for one share: EUR 9.04
- 2003 C, subscription price for one share: EUR 11.17.
