Finnair moves to Terminal 1 at Barcelona International Airport

Finnair and the other oneworld airlines will move to the new Terminal 1 (T1) at
Barcelona International Airport on September 9.

The new terminal is equipped with 696 solar panels and automatic light
regulation to address environmental concerns. The terminal has 101 boarding
gates, 43 air bridges, 73 shops, 43 bars and restaurants, 166 check-in desks
and more than 11,000 car parking spaces. Finnair Plus Platinum, Gold and Silver
members as well as Business Class passengers are welcome to use the Pau Casals
Lounge. Whenever possible, oneworld airline operations are concentrated
together at airports.

Terminal 1 is located 10 km southwest from the city centre and 3 km from
Terminal A, where Finnair has previously been operating. A terminal bus runs
between the two terminals. Finnair has a ticket office and check-in situated on
the right-hand side of Terminal 1.

In 2008 the airport served 30.2 million passengers. With the opening of T1 its
annual capacity will increase to 55 million passengers.
