Veröffentlichung gemäß § 26 Abs. 1 WpHG

Die Harris Associates L.P., Chicago, USA, hat der Rheinmetall AG am 15.
Juni 2009 folgende Mitteilung gemäß § 21 Abs. 1 WpHG gemacht:

'We hereby give notice, pursuant sec. 21 para. 1 of the WpHG, that on 10
June 2009 the voting interest of Harris Associates L.P. in Rheinmetall AG
increased above the threshold of 3% and on this date amounted to 3.22%
(this corresponds to 1,159,900 voting rights).

3.22% of these voting rights (this corresponds to 1,159,900 shares) are
attributable to Harris Associates L.P. in accordance with sec. 22 para. 1
sent. 1 no. 6 and sec. 22 para. 1 sent. 2 of the WpHG.'
