Plastics Conversion Technologies Engages W.Z. Baumgartner & Associates, Inc. and DeWitt, Ross, and Stevens, S.C. for Regulatory Advisory Board

SEATTLE, July 8, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- GeoBio Energy, Inc. (Pink Sheets:GBOE), d/b/a Plastics Conversion Technologies, Inc. (PCT or "the Company"), a Colorado-incorporated plastics cleaning, separation, and recycling company, today announced the formation of an internal/external Environmental Issues and Regulations "task-force" to keep the company abreast of the latest environmental issues, pending legislation, and existing regulations nationwide.

Said Geoff Meagher, PCT's CEO: "We understand it's imperative that PCT stay on top of all environmental concerns that may have an impact on company operations anywhere. Given the number and variance of legal and environmental requirements throughout the nation, our Board felt it necessary that we do all we can to stay well ahead of these issues by getting the best professional advice and counsel possible."

To that end, the Company has engaged the services of W.Z. Baumgartner & Associates, Inc., of Franklin, Tennessee, a leading environmental engineering and consulting group, to gather knowledge and provide assistance from their long history of success in dealing with auto shredder, scrap, and recycling facilities all over North America. Additionally, PCT has also secured the services of DeWitt, Ross, and Stevens, S.C., of Milwaukee and Madison, Wisconsin, to assist with compliance issues in the State of Wisconsin, expected to be the home of the company's first operating plastics cleaning and recycling facility.

Gary De Laurentiis, PCT founder and COO, stated: "We've got George Larson, a well-established expert in waste management and legislative environmental work, on PCT's Advisory Board. George, CTO Andy Kegler and I will be working with these new advisors to ensure that the company is aware of any and all environmental issues wherever we project to locate and operate, as well as to ensure that we can "pre-qualify" in most regions as well by addressing any environmental regulatory issues early. To everyone's advantage, PCT facilities will be designed to greatly reduce that amount of toxic waste being taken to landfills wherever it has a cleaning facility."

About Plastics Conversion Technologies:

Plastics Conversion Technologies is a plastics recovery, separation, cleaning, and recycling company. It was formed via a merger agreement between GeoBio, Inc. and EnviroPlastics, Inc., set to be completed during the Summer of 2009, with the intent to supply recycled commercial plastics to industries such as the automotive and consumer products industries, and it plans to construct large-scale plastics recycling facilities near automotive shredder locations nationwide. Operating in conjunction with large national metal recycling partners (see "Strategic Partners"), the company, using a patent-pending process developed by EnviroPlastics, will produce recycled commercial grade plastics ready to be re-introduced into commerce. Additionally, in conjunction with other Strategic Partners, PCT will convert waste and scrap plastic (both from its own processing and from other sources) into high-value energy products, including synthetic oil.
