Change of the Board in Fionia Bank A/S and the Management in Fionia Holding A/S

Announcement No 17/2009
Change of the Board in Fionia Bank A/S and the Management in Fionia Holding A/S

The Chairman of the Board of Fionia Bank A/S, Bo Stærmose, has announced to
Finansiel Stabilitet that he and the other shareholder elected members of the
Board want to retire as soon as possible. The shareholder elected members of
the Board find that sales of the profitable part of the bank has now come so
far that it is appropriate to entrust the responsibility for the final sale of
the bank to Finansiel Stabilitet. The desire to retire does not include Jørn
Kristian Jensen, the representative of Finansiel Stabilitet in the Board.

Finansiel Stabilitet will soon appoint two new shareholder elected members of
the Board. Jørn Kristian Jensen will at the same time be appointed Chairman of
the Board of Fionia Bank A/S.

The retired shareholder elected members of the Board of Fionia Bank A/S will
continue as Board members in Fionia Holding A/S. CEO Jørgen Bast resigns from
the Management of Fionia Holding A/S - but continues as CEO in Fionia Bank A/S.

The efforts of Finansiel Stabilitet to sell Fionia Bank A/S as a package
including all retail customers and all the profitable business customers
continue unchanged. This is an open and transparent process that takes some
time. However, it is expected that the process can be completed end of August.

It should be emphasized that the customers in Fionia Bank A/S are not affected
by changes in the Board. Fionia Bank A/S, a subsidiary of Finansiel Stabilitet
A/S, which operates banking activities, are covered by the governmental
guarantee, which under the law of financial stability ensures that all simple
creditors and depositors are fully covered to the extent that their claims
against the bank are not covered by other means. Reference is made to the
information from Finansiel Stabilitet "Fionia Bank A / S - Garantiordning”
(Fionia Bank A/S - Guarantee scheme), published on 31 May 2009.
