Eyewitness Accounts Testify to the Power of God -- New Book Documents Transformational Encounters Through Fr. Peter Mary Rookey

CHICAGO, June 22, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- When kindness, compassion, peace, hope, and love are required, meeting a charismatic priest like Fr. Peter Mary Rookey, OSM, is a great blessing. Fr. Peter Mary Rookey: A Laborer of the Harvest in the Lord's Vineyard is a compilation of eyewitness accounts written by some of the 50,000 persons who encountered his beautiful spiritual gifts during a visit to Poland.

These profound testimonials intimately portray how Fr. Rookey serves and acts in the Name of Jesus and shares all the gifts that God has bestowed upon him: "He is an extension of the Hand of (our) Merciful God Who embraces us with forgiveness, love, and peace -- how different from all that is offered by the world."

Readers will be inspired by the experiences, impressions, and reflections presented in this book by those who were privileged to meet him and, through him, deepened their relationship with God. For many people, those memorable days of communal prayers with Fr. Rookey were a time of experiencing many of God's Graces: physical and spiritual healings, the awakening and/or strengthening of faith, and the feeling of the real Presence of God's Power. Phenomenon from 'resting in the Holy Spirit' to witnessing deliverances of possessed people are described, as well as deeply personal interior changes of the spirit.

As one person said, "To be in the presence of priests like Fr. Peter Mary Rookey means to receive many (of) God's Graces." However, Fr. Rookey does not credit himself with any merit in this regard, because -- as he constantly points out -- the final healing comes always and exclusively by the Will and Power of God.

Fr. Peter Mary Rookey: A Laborer of the Harvest in the Lord's Vineyard will be featured in this year's American Library Association Annual Exhibit at Chicago, Illinois on July 11-14, 2009. For more information on this insightful book, log on to www.Xlibris.com.

About the Editor

Barbara Wojtowicz, a native of Poland, accompanied Fr. Peter Mary Rookey on his seven-city visit of Poland in 2004 to Jesuit and Piarists Churches. Many letters were later received that provided evidence of the effect of the Masses and healing services and formed the basis for this important book. Barbara also translated, from English to Polish, a book about Fr. Rookey, A Man of Miracles, written by Heather Parsons.
