CARGOTEC CORPORATION STOCK EXCHANGE ANNOUNCEMENT May 8, 2009 at 9.45 EEST Cargotec Shares Subscribed with Option Rights A total number of 600 new class B shares were subscribed on March 2009 with Cargotec option rights that were granted as part of the demerged Kone Corporation's year 2004 option program. The amount of 2005B option rights used for share subscription was 200. The subscriptions increase Cargotec's share capital by EUR 600. The share capital increase has been entered in the trade register on May 8, 2009 and trading in the shares together with the old shares will begin on May 11, 2009. Cargotec's share capital after the increase totals EUR 64,304,880. The amount of class B shares after the subscription is 54,778,791 shares. The number of class A shares remains unchanged at 9,526,089 shares. The new shares will entitle to all shareholder rights from the registration date May 8, 2009. The share subscription period with 2005B option rights ended on March 31, 2009. During the subscription period, a total of 333,570 class B shares were subscribed. After the end of the share subscription period the unused 2005B option rights have been null and void and will automatically be removed from the book-entry accounts of option holders.
