Regarding News Release of LEO LT


On April 30, 2009 the national investment company LEO LT issued a news release,
in which it said that with regard to the aim, raised by the shareholders, the
Management Board of LEO LT would find a possibility to reduce the consumer
price of electricity by CTL 4 /kWh from July 1 of this year. 

“Considering the nation's complicated economic situation and given the clearly
expressed position of the shareholders, from the second quarter of this year we
assume an obligation to reduce the consumer price of electricity, i.e. to
return it to the level of 2008. For that we will use all possible resources”, -
says Mr.Rimantas Vaitkus, Chairman of the Management Board of LEO LT. 

Established on May 20, 2008 LEO LT is a national electricity company, through
its daughter companies controlling the bulk part of power system of the
Republic of Lithuania - the electricity transmission grid and electricity
distribution networks. 61,7 per cent of LEO LT shares are owned by the
Government of the Republic of Lithuania, 38.3 per cent - - by the company NDX
Energija.
