How Far Will You Go in Search for Your Real Identity? -- New Engrossing Book is a Poignant Memoir About Following One's Heart and Reaching for Impossible Dreams

DEPTFORD, N.J., April 22, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Author Sonia Pighin opens the pages of her inspiring life with the release of her new book. A Feather in the Wind is a compelling memoir about trials, dreams and passion.

A Feather in the Wind follows the touching true story of author Sonia Pighin as she deals with the trial that comes along with being an adopted child. Immerse yourself in a stirring tale of a child who is adopted from the overseas and brought into the United States. While some adopted children are blessed to be nurtured, some are unfortunate enough to be treated without the slightest care. Sonia's adoptive father is a gentle and loving man whose attention is focused on his adopted daughter. For some reason, Sonia's adoptive mother is rather indignant and abusive to her. As a child, Sonia is never allowed to play by her adoptive mother, instead she is forced to clean the house. She is one of those children who got her share of physical and mental abuse from her mommy. As Sonia grows, her resentment for her mother also grows that she often thinks of just running away, although deep inside she knows that she can't just leave her father. Flowing into her world of poetry and imagination is her refuge in escaping the pains of reality.

Despite the pain in dealing with her overly protected life, being adopted is never an issue for Sonia, not until she starts to have dreams of finding her biological mother. Her adventure takes her to doing her own detective work. Join Sonia as she discovers lies and deceptions in her quest to finding her real identity. A Feather in the Wind is and engrossing read that will inspire you to follow your heart and reach your dreams. For more information, log on to www.Xlibris.com.
