PÖYRY PLC Company Announcement 21 April 2009 at 10.15 a.m. PÖYRY AWARDED EUR 6 MILLION ASSIGNMENT FOR COMBINED-CYCLE POWER PLANT IN GERMANY Pöyry has been awarded an owner's engineering services contract by OMV Power International GmbH for an 800 MW combined-cycle power plant project in Haiming, Germany. The project is undertaken by the OMV Kraftwerk Haiming GmbH, an affiliated company of OMV Power International GmbH in Austria. The value of the assignment is about EUR 6 million and it is included in the order stock for the first quarter. Pöyry has been nominated as the owner's engineer for the project on the basis of a tender process. The project comprises two gas-fired single-shaft units with all required ancillary and auxiliary systems, including an electrical overhead line and a natural gas pipeline as well as a number of technical and non-technical buildings. Pöyry will assist the customer in the permitting process, preparation of tender documents for the EPC turnkey contract and the long-term service agreement contract. Furthermore, the project scope includes evaluation of tenders, negotiations and contract awards, review of contractor's detail design, inspection of workshop tests, site supervision of construction and erection, commissioning and testing.
