Adaptive Planning Awards Free Software to Winners of California Clean Tech Open and San Jose Prize for Green Vision Innovation

Extends Commitment to Clean Technology and Corporate Social Responsibility

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwire - November 7, 2008) - Adaptive Planning, the worldwide leader in on-demand financial planning and reporting solutions for companies of all sizes, today announced that it will provide the winners and runners-up of the California Clean Tech Open (CCTO) with free financial planning and reporting software to support their rapid growth and continued business success. This new award, spurred on by the San Jose Prize for Green Vision Innovation, not only extends the company's ongoing commitment to the California Clean Tech Open, but also highlights its commitment to clean technologies, the community, and corporate social responsibility.

Adaptive Planning will provide the 12 CCTO winners and runners-up across six categories -- the companies who also won the San Jose Prize for Green Vision Innovation -- with a free, one-year subscription for five seats of its Enterprise Edition, plus a free administrative training course. This package enables the winners to plan and manage all aspects of their financial performance, including personnel levels, capital expenditures, operating expenses, and revenues. It will allow these companies to make informed business decisions, whether they are raising capital, driving new growth, or evaluating potential scenarios as they navigate the economic downturn.

This new program extends Adaptive Planning's ongoing support of the California Clean Tech Open. In both 2007 and 2008, Adaptive Planning has been an in-kind sponsor of the CCTO, providing two free software seats to all finalists. Twenty companies participated in that program in 2007, while twenty-seven participated this year.

With the addition of the new awards, Adaptive Planning has pledged over $100,000 worth of in-kind software and services to California Clean Tech Open participants in 2008. Adaptive Planning's award, in conjunction with the San Jose Prize, will create a significant compensation package for this year's winners.

"We are delighted to extend our support of the Clean Tech Open with these new awards," said William A. Soward, CEO of Adaptive Planning. "What's more, we're pleased to further support the City of San Jose's Prize for Green Vision Innovation, which illustrates how coordinated efforts between forward-thinking companies and public institutions can have a far greater impact than any individual organization can have on its own. We firmly believe in the importance of corporate social responsibility, and are proud to be taking a leading role in supporting companies that are driving innovation and delivering a green future."

San Jose mayor Chuck Reed and San Jose city officials will hold a press conference on Friday, November 7 at 1:00 p.m. at San Jose City Hall to make their formal announcement of the San Jose Prize for Green Vision Innovation and Adaptive Planning services.
