NCC to construct another phase for BanaVäg i Väst

NCC will also be constructing the next phase, E32, of the infrastructure
investment between Gothenburg and Trollhättan. The section concerned, which is
between Bohus and Nödinge, includes expansion of the double-track railway line
at Norway/Vänerbanan and upgrading the Rv 45/E45 to expressway standard.

This is the third phase of this project that NCC has secured to date. The client
is BanaVäg i Väst - a unique cooperative venture between the National Rail
Administration and the Swedish Road Administration. The order is worth SEK 150
million for NCC.

The major infrastructure investment between Gothenburg and Trollhättan is now
approaching Bohus and the section subject to this particular procurement
comprises both road and rail works. For example, it will entail extensive
foundation reinforcement work and construction of a slightly more than 130-meter
bridge, which is designed to resolve traffic problems over the E45 and for
Norway/Vänerbanan.

Construction will occur in an environment characterized by heavy traffic, since
both road and railway traffic will pass through the worksite.

- For implementation of this project, we will have to satisfy meticulous demands
requiring that geotechnology and rock blasting be combined with minimal
disruption to traffic, says Per Kinell, Department Manager for the NCC Western
Region's Civil Engineering Department.
- We are naturally honored and proud to have been awarded another section of
this exciting project.

Construction will start immediately after the summer vacation and the work is
scheduled for completion in March 2010. At most, about 50 people will work on
this project.

The order will be registered during the third quarter of 2008.
