SAN JOSE, Calif., June 23, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Integrated Silicon Solution, Inc. (Nasdaq:ISSI), a leader in advanced memory solutions, today introduced the first members of their new PowerSaver(tm) Mobile SDRAM family with 128Mb, 256Mb and 512Mb Mobile SDRAMs offered in x8, x16, and x32 configurations in cost-effective TSOPII packages as well as space-saving BGA packages.
ISSI's new Mobile SDRAM products are ideal for applications where both high performance and low power consumption are important, including mobile communications and consumer products. Power saving features include:
* Temperature Compensated Self Refresh (TCSR): minimizes power consumption at lower temperatures. * Partial Array Self Refresh (PASR): eliminates unnecessary row activations. * Deep Power Down mode (DPD): provides a low power state when data retention is not required. * Programmable Output Driver Strength (DS): adjusts output drive strength to actual bus loading to minimize power consumption.
These Mobile SDRAMs will be offered in 1.8, 2.5 and 3.3 volt options. The IS42SM version has VDD of 3.3V, the IS42RM has VDD of 2.5V and the soon-to-be-released IS42VM has VDD of 1.8V. Both commercial and industrial temperature ranges are offered.

Price and Availability
The x16 configurations are available in both 54-pin TSOP II and 54-ball BGA packages, and the x32 configurations are available in both 86-pin TSOP II and 90-ball BGA packages. Samples are available now for 256Mb and 128Mb products in TSOPII and 512Mb in BGA-90 with volume shipments beginning in Q3, 2008. All other options will be available during the second half of 2008.
For quantities of 10,000 the IS42SM16160D-7TL in a 54-pin TSOPII package with a 0 degrees C to +70 degrees C operating range, is priced at $2.95.
