Teleradiology Provider Among Largest Public Companies in Minnesota by Revenue


MINNEAPOLIS, March 27, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Virtual Radiologic Corp. (Nasdaq:VRAD), a leading national provider of teleradiology services, has been ranked as one of the 100 largest publicly traded companies in Minnesota by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal. The publication's "Top 100 Public Companies" list ranks Minnesota-based companies according to 2007 annual revenue. Virtual Radiologic was ranked #87 among Minnesota-based public companies, with $86.2 million in 2007 revenue.

Virtual Radiologic grew its annual revenue by 59 percent in 2007 to $86.2 million, while expanding its customer base to 469 customers serving more than 800 medical facilities, including 13% of all U.S. hospitals. The company completed its initial public offering in November 2007, raising more than $59 million in net proceeds. Virtual Radiologic shares are traded on the NASDAQ Global Market under the symbol "VRAD."
