With Social Sites and SharePoint Server 2007, the credit union's employees can now tap into an intelligent social network similar to Facebook and MySpace, but optimized for the corporate environment. The social network enables employees to see what colleagues are working on and make easy connections between people, departments and project groups. By giving employees a place to organize and connect, they can communicate around business interests as well as collaborate on projects and more easily share customer feedback and suggestions.

Within the new CME portal, employees can also track member concerns through a number of social media tools, including tags and tag clouds, which give customer service managers and the management team real-time insight on member information and questions. This real-time view of customer feedback enables the CME team to immediately involve the right internal resources to more quickly resolve member concerns and answer member questions.
