About the Author

The author began seriously writing fiction when he was sixty eight years old. He had served as an officer for twenty years in the U. S. Air Force, retiring in 1981. He had worked at Universities and spent his final twenty two years of employment at a large California Utility. He abruptly retired from that position in December 2006. Dr. Duncan Dieterly has a Ph.D. in Industrial Organizational Psychology. He has survived three marriages and has four grown adult children, a son and three daughters. Previously he had written professional papers, articles and technical training guides. He chooses to focus his talent toward fiction during his semi-retirement years. Unfortunately he selected to pursue yet a third career in real estate industry in January 2007. As is well documented by the wide media coverage this year the collapsing of the real estate market suggests this was perhaps not one of his most astute decisions.
