Be Aware of the Increasing Pollution and Global Warming in the World -- New Book Questions, What Did You Do to Make the World Better?

BROOKLYN, N.Y., Feb. 20, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- No one is immune to pollution. Whether we like it or not, we are all affected by it. To address the growing environmental problems of the world, author Lee Van Thompson presents his book, Pollution and Global Warming. He emphasizes the need for us to be aware of these important issues and act on it before becomes worse.

It is obvious that pollution and global warming are escalating at an alarming rate. We need not look further than the warmer world climate, the frequent unexpected storms and rapidly rising sea level to know this is true. The author recalls the old landscape in his home island of Trinidad -- a landscape that has been drastically changed by the rising sea levels. Third world countries' use of coal as energy is contributing to the greenhouse effect, which in turn fuels global warming. We can all do something to make our world a better place. Thompson emphasizes the need for alternative and renewable sources of energy. He also offers tips on reducing pollution.

Man is but a grain in the universe, yet one small action can make a difference. When your son or daughter ask you twenty years from now, "What did you do to help make the world better?" What will be your answer? The time to act on Pollution and Global Warming is now. Before it's too late, let us do our part in making the world a better place to live in.
