Isonics CEO Discusses Debut Sale of NeutroTest Explosive Detection Device in Interview with HomelandInsights.com

CEO Provides Overview of Sales and Business Strategy for Handheld Explosive Detection Product

LOS ANGELES, July 8, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- HomelandInsights.com, the online source for expert information on high-growth investing in the multi-billion dollar Homeland Security marketplace, has announced the availability of an audio interview with James Alexander, President and CEO of Isonics Corporation, (Nasdaq:ISON). In the interview, Mr. Alexander discussed the Company's recently announced debut sales of NeutroTest(tm), a handheld, portable device designed to scan suitcases and other containers for the presence of concealed explosives.

Isonics is an innovative company that is developing a portfolio of proprietary technologies, products and services for the global homeland security sector.

The Company sold two units of its first-generation NeutroTest(tm) device to a privately-owned engineering firm in Germany, that is expected to use the product to search for and evaluate the contents of unexploded military ordnance and other explosives.

In the interview, Mr. Alexander explained the key capabilities of NeutroTest(tm) and its advantages over other detection products currently available. "The principle functionality of NeutroTest(tm) is its ability to essentially see into suitcases, packages or even hermetically sealed steel containers and obtain information regarding the chemical makeup of the contents inside," he said. "This is different than x-ray which looks for shapes and can infer something about the objects' density."

Among NeutroTest's most important features are its portability and speed, explained Mr. Alexander. "It weighs only a few pounds and can be easily carried by hand," he said. "That means NeutroTest(tm) can bring the screening device to the threat, rather than waiting for the threat to come of the device."

He added: "NeutroTest(tm) works quickly -- it takes only a fraction of the time necessary for some other technologies and products."

Mr. Alexander also discussed Isonics' plans for marketing the device within the U.S., while further expanding international sales.

The interview is available free of charge to interested investors. To listen to the interview, visit http://www.HomelandInsights.com.
