SSWM to Add Biotechnology for Treatment of Petroleum Hydrocarbons in Water

CARLSBAD, Calif., Oct. 18, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Bruce Beattie, President of Sub Surface Waste Management of Delaware, Inc. (OTCBB:SSWM), announced today that C. TradeUsa and SSWM took delivery of the first PureSafe Water Station order from WaterChef, Inc. (OTCBB:WTER), a water purification equipment vendor. SSWM intends to add its patent pending biotechnology to develop with C. TradeUsa, Inc., a water systems integrator, specific, cost-effective solutions for the treatment of petroleum hydrocarbons and other toxics in water.

Bruce Beattie, President of SSWM stated, "Now we have received our initial water treatment unit and will add our biotechnology as a pre-treatment system for the removal of petroleum hydrocarbons and other contaminants of concern. We believe the PureSafe Water system, which can produce up to 5,000,000 gallons of clean, healthy water a year will be an excellent solution to cleaning up contaminated water in California and other states as well as adding profits to our bottom line. We have also had inquiries from hotels in Mexico who desire larger systems to ensure clean water for their visitors and staff. For all these reasons we are very excited about our working venture with WaterChef and C. TradeUsa and look forward to a long and profitable relationship."

Nick Kontonicolas, President of C. TradeUsa stated, "I am very excited to see these two technologies being used together to develop a solution for the serious water quality problems of the world. My involvement and influence in both WaterChef, Inc. and SSWM will enable us to utilize the patented water purification process of WaterChef together with the organic hydrocarbon remediation qualities of the microbes of SSWM to realize real world economic and humanitarian applications. C. Trade's numerous worldwide joint venture partners will be instrumental in making this cohesive blending of technologies applicable to the solving of real world issues such as arsenic removal from water, perchlorate remediation and petroleum cleanup."

The PureSafe Water Station is a self-contained, six-stage water purification system, which produces up to 15,000 gallons per day of clean, healthy water from any source. The PureSafe destroys all living pathogens and handles a broad range of organic and inorganic water contaminants, producing pure water at a very low cost per gallon. In addition to the core version of the PureSafe Water Station, WaterChef also markets versions of the PureSafe for ocean water desalination, heavy metals removal and the remediation of arsenic contaminated water.
