STOCK COMMENTARY:

Equities closed to finish the week essentially unchanged. Regardless of the fact that technology made a move into positive territory to close last week's trading, mainly directionless action was seen across all sectors. Oracle gave pundits something to think about, along with the continued war in Iraq.

The upcoming week of trading sets out with a slate full of potentially market-moving issues. The war in Iraq, US Airway's bankruptcy filings, and money on the sidelines ready to pour in, all provide stock Traders a great deal to reckon with.

Market timers see the equity markets as being too risky short-term. In other words, equities might be, largely, up and down this week. Still, we view almost any short-term softness as an opportunity to pick up stocks in a short draw-down. Good economic statistics last week paint a picture trading to the upside for the equity markets after a brief pullback.
