Bahama Snow -- High Adventure and Romance Set Sail in New Novel

LAKEWOOD, N.J., July 7, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- In Hank Manley's, Bahama Snow (now available through AuthorHouse), Drug Enforcement Agency District Commander Dwight McFarland puts his reputation and career in jeopardy when he engages in a deadly game.

The south Florida resident is mired in his financial misfortune. Alimony is piling up, his car is falling apart, his credit cards are maxed and his married girlfriend is constantly looking for something more than "another trailer park address." Believing money is his only hope, McFarland plans to hone in on Bahamian drug runners who are pulling in cash by the boatload. Unable to legally operate as an agent outside the United States, he frames Morgan Early, a charter boat captain, and forces him to locate the smugglers' headquarters in the Bahamas. To keep an eye on Morgan and validate his findings, McFarland coerces the beautiful Rhonda Marcus to spy on the captain.

Bahama Snow follows the two DEA pawns to the beautiful islands of the Bahamas. As they search, Morgan and Rhonda fall in love, placing both of them in compromising positions before they finally discover the smugglers' base. With this information and a reluctant Rhonda as his guide, McFarland launches an unauthorized raid on the remote location. However, the operation goes terribly wrong. Agents are killed, McFarland is chained to the dock and Rhonda is held captive.

When Morgan hears of his love's plight, he sets sail for the Bahamas. As he cuts through the waves toward Sandy Cay, Morgan has no clue about McFarland's true intentions, but a classic showdown is in the making.

A fast-paced adventure filled with romance, Bahama Snow is a compelling novel about the motives of desperation and the valor of love.

Manley has been traveling the Bahamas by boat for 30 years. He has written two books on fishing, A Grand Quest and Beyond the Green Water. He lives with his wife, Gretchen, in North Palm Beach, Fla.
