DDSI Announces First Sale of Revolutionary New FingerPrint Matching Solution


FAIRLESS HILLS, Pa., Oct. 11, 2001 (PRIMEZONE) -- Digital Descriptor Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:DDSI), a leading designer and marketer of digitized imaging systems for the criminal justice and security markets, today announced the sale and installation schedule of the second phase of a multi-phase ID system for Bucks County, Pa. and the Bucks County Correctional facility in Doylestown, Pa.

DDSI Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Garrett U. Cohn stated, "This phase is the FMS ID solution that will positively identify arrestees and prisoners, both as they are booked and enter the facility and also upon their exit. This marks the first installation of DDSI's new Fingerprint Matching Solution (FMS) and is scheduled for installation by the end of next quarter."

Mr. Harris Gubernick, Deputy Director of Bucks County Correctional facility commented, "We selected DDSI for this segment of our countywide ID system as it will be integrated with our current imaging and booking system. It will be networked throughout the county at 18 booking locations, when completed, thus allowing immediate fingerprint identification of all arrested individuals."

Mr. Cohn went on to give the following update to the FBI certification process of Compu-Scan 3000, "We are very pleased with the work Titan Industries (NYSE:TTN) has performed on our patent pending "contactless" fingerprint ID system to date. CS 3000 is on track for our scheduled resubmission to the FBI within the next three months."
