Intentia Launches Its New Integrated US Operations

STOCKHOLM and SCHAUMBURG,, Ill., May 8, 2001 (PRIMEZONE) -- Intentia International AB (publ) (SSE:INT B) announced today the launch of its new integrated U.S. operations. Following the successful launch of four integrated operational regions in Europe, the same strategy has now been implemented in the U.S. The operational structure in the U.S. will be based on four business units: Midwest, East, South and West. The launch of the new structure has been driven by the objective of creating an efficient organization where all the skills and competence of the U.S. operation can be utilized dynamically.

According to Mike Nutter, President and CEO, Intentia Americas: "Intentia will now be better positioned to continue to provide Movex customers with the high level of service and technical support they deserve. With four business units focusing on sales and implementation, we can create a much more efficient U.S. operation."

As part of the new structure, Intentia has taken over the personnel and customer base of Intentia West, a former Intentia partner division of El Camino Resources International, Inc.

"Our vision of an integrated organization under Intentia management coincided with El Camino's decision to focus solely on its core business," commented Nutter. "Up to now, Intentia West has been our most successful independent business partner in the U.S. It has been responsible for closing such high-profile accounts as Mission Hockey, Nordstrom Products, The North Face, St. John Knits and Winterland in the fashion/apparel industry; Endar in the consumer goods industry; and Amy's Kitchen and Sapporo, USA in the food and beverage industry."

As a consequence of the integration of Intentia West, Intentia Americas will add 57 sales and service professionals to its employee roster.

Klaus Brauch, General Manager, Intentia West added: "It's very satisfying for us to become a key part of one of the world's leading enterprise application vendors. Intentia's forward-thinking product research and development team has succeeded in taking ERP far beyond the walls of the enterprise into supply chain management, e-business and e-collaboration. We look forward to achieving an even higher level of success through this opportunity to join our resources with those of Intentia."
