Nokia launches A030 Wireless LAN Access Point to bring broadband access to public places and to corporate premises


Nokia today launched a new generation access point, the A030 Wireless LAN Access Point, offering fast mobile access to Internet and corporate intranet. Optimised for mobile operator, enterprise and corporate use, the Nokia A030 Wireless LAN Access Point brings 11 Mbit/s broadband mobility, allowing wireless offices to be set up anywhere.

For mobile operators, the Nokia A030 Wireless LAN Access Point forms an integral part of the Nokia Operator Wireless LAN solution, which allows operators to offer broadband Internet access in places such as airports and hotels. This end-to-end solution caters for all the operator's needs, from access control and roaming to authentication and billing. Utilizing the GSM SIM card for authenticating and charging, offering the same straightforward user experience as with a GSM terminal. The Nokia Operator Wireless LAN solution helps cellular operators to create a broadband and datacom brand together with 3G and GPRS networks. While the increase in data services will also promote further usage of voice services.
