SAN DIEGO, March 5, 2001 (PRIMEZONE) -- Women First HealthCare, Inc. (Nasdaq:WFHC) today announced that Edward F. Calesa, chairman, president and CEO, will present at the Salomon Smith Barney (SSB) 1st Annual Specialty Pharmaceuticals Conference. The conference will be held March 8-9, 2001 at the Grand Hyatt in New York City.

Mr. Calesa's presentation is scheduled for Friday, March 9, 2001, from 1:30 - 2:00 PM Eastern Time (Ballroom E) and will include discussion of business operations, improved fourth quarter and year-end 2000 results, and strategic plans for the company.

The two-day conference will focus on companies of investment interest in the specialty pharmaceutical sector and feature over 40 leading brand-focused, generics and drug delivery specialty pharmaceutical firms.
