Nokia demonstrates GPRS applications on SFR Network from Cegetel - the First GPRS Network in France


Cegetel SFR will be demonstrating the first GPRS network in France at the 3GSM World Congress in Cannes, which brings new advanced mobile Internet services and applications to subscribers.

The Cegetel SFR Network is now deployed and demonstrations at the Nokia booth at the 3GSM World Congress show the attractive capabilities of the Nokia supplied network. Visitors to the Nokia booth will be able to surf wirelessly on various web sites.

Nokia has delivered and deployed during the second half of 2000 the SFR GPRS packet core Network infrastructure and GPRS functionalities on the Radio Acces Network. Nokia's unique 2.5G (GSM/GPRS) will enable the Cegetel SFR network to launch new exciting seamless multimedia services in France.
