TORONTO, Oct. 24, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Marquest Asset Management Inc. (“Marquest”) and Lorica Investment Counsel Inc. (“Lorica” and together with Marquest, the “Firms”) are pleased to announce that the Firms have entered into a binding agreement for Lorica to acquire the management contract of the Marquest Canadian Fixed Income Fund (the “Fund”), a retail mutual fund managed by Marquest, together with the data, records, and documents relating to the Fund (the “Transaction”).
The Transaction is expected to close in late December 2018, subject to the receipt of regulatory and unitholder approval to change the manager and name of the Fund. An information circular will be mailed to unitholders of the Fund in the near future.
