ADVISER INVESTMENTS NAMED “BEST PLACE TO WORK IN MONEY MANAGEMENT” BY PENSIONS & INVESTMENTS

NEWTON, Mass., Dec. 13, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Adviser Investments announced today that it has been recognized as a “Best Place to Work in Money Management for 2016” by Pensions & Investments magazine. Adviser Investments was one of 50 organizations named to the list.

Adviser Investments was acknowledged for its commitment to employees’ work/life balance, profit-sharing contributions to employees’ 401(k) plans, the company’s bonus programs and its highly competitive benefits package.

“We are honored to be named a Best Place to Work in Money Management, and for the recognition of our culture and ongoing commitment to creating a workplace where employees can excel,” said Adviser Investments President Dan Silver. “We’ve worked hard to create an environment that enables us to attract and retain top talent, which translates into the personalized service and investment expertise we’ve offered our clients for more than two decades.”

“Employees at these top-ranked firms most often cited their colleagues, the firm’s culture and the benefits as the things that make it a great place to work,” said P&I Editor Amy B. Resnick. “Our surveys found that the employers on the list were much more likely to offer things like flex time, telecommuting, family leave and adoption assistance.”

Internal development is a primary focus at Adviser Investments. To that end, the firm offers a mentoring program, cross-departmental training and sends key employees to leadership workshops and other seminars and conferences of relevance. The company also supports employees’ professional growth with continuing-education allowances and in-house training with outside experts, including effective communication techniques, public speaking, meetings with portfolio managers and even etiquette lessons.

“Our employees are truly our greatest asset, and it’s rewarding to know that their feedback led to this honor,” said Adviser Investments CEO and Chairman Dan Wiener. “Our culture of communicating, executing and learning has enabled us to grow into one of the largest independent advisers in the country, and we are pleased to celebrate and share this award with everyone in the firm.”

Pensions & Investments partnered with Best Companies Group, an independent research firm specializing in identifying great places to work, to conduct a two-part survey process of employers and their employees.

The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. This part of the process informed approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of a survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process contributed approximately 75% to the total evaluation. The combined score determined the top companies.

The Pensions & Investments award caps a banner year for Adviser Investments. In October, the firm received Fidelity’s Be Greater award, recognizing registered investment advisers who are evolving their businesses to meet ever-changing demands of a growing and sophisticated investor class. Fidelity singled out Adviser Investments among all RIAs with more than $1 billion in total assets under management that use its custodian and record-keeping services.

Earlier in 2016, Adviser Investments was named to Barron’s list of the top 100 independent financial advisers nationwide and its list of the top advisory firms in Massachusetts for the fourth consecutive year. It has also been recognized on the Financial Times 300 Top Registered Investment Advisers list in 2014, 2015 and 2016.
