SmallCap Sentinel: NACEL Looks to Capitalize as President Obama Calls for Wind Energy

IRVINE, Calif., Jan. 27, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- While analysts debate Obama's more general references in last week's inaugural address, little was left to question from the new president's clear directive to harness the winds. For established providers of wind energy driven technologies such as NACEL Energy (OTCBB:NCEN), Obama's confirmation of his intentions was a boon to their blossoming business plans.

For many companies, the prospect of having an analyst author a glowing report is the ultimate in public affirmation. For others with the right products at the right time, having the new president summon attention to your industry during the most watched inaugural in history may go one better.

Assuredly, companies will rush to capitalize on the ambient enthusiasm for clean wind energy, especially after Obama's poetic declaration and potential government backing. But few will do so from the vantage of NACEL, with land and projects already under contract and perhaps a much better ability to harness the wind.

Obama's assertion was nearly simultaneous with a news release from NACEL Energy that announced its third wind power generation project in the heart of the Texas Panhandle. Among wind-watchers, the Panhandle is considered to be the nation's most prolific wind corridor. NACEL Energy confirmed it has entered into long term wind development rights agreements covering 1573 acres in Swisher County, and has commenced the collection of wind measurement data with the installation of a 200 ft tower at the site, a precursor to final project engineering. At build-out NACEL Energy expects 20 MW of power generating capacity from Swisher - enough clean, renewable energy to supply an estimated 6000 homes.

NACEL Energy is one of the first publicly traded companies in the nation developing utility class wind energy projects with the participation of local landowners and partners. In addition to the Panhandle project, NACEL Energy is pursuing development of a three phase wind energy project in the Dominican Republic.
