Dahua Technology to Demonstrate 16 Channel HD Hybrid DVR Based On Techwell TW2880 HD Controller At the 2008 China Public Security Expo (CPSE) in Beijing, China December 9-12

(Nasdaq:TWLL), a leading designer of mixed signal video semiconductor solutions for the security surveillance, automotive, and consumer electronics markets, today announced Dahua Technology (SZSE:DHGF) has partnered with Techwell to help develop its next generation embedded DVR platform based on Techwell's TW2880 HD Controller for security surveillance applications. Utilizing Techwell's highly advanced TW2880 HD Controller with ability to support 16 channel display, record, and playback and output at full HD 1080p resolution, Dahua plans to launch several advanced 16 channel Hybrid DVR, and NVR solutions throughout 2009. With 16 channel video and audio recording at 1080p display output and HDMI connectivity, Dahua expects to continue to build their position as one of the leading DVR manufacturers in China and the rest of the world. Techwell and Dahua will both be demonstrating the new TW2880 HD Controller and other integrated security solutions at the China Public Security Expo (CPSE) held in Beijing, China December 9-12.

Techwell's TW2880 is a 16-channel video and graphic controller with HD 1080p display capability for security surveillance applications. The device includes a host of advanced features for 16-channel DVRs. It is designed to accept 16 live video inputs and playback 16 pre-recorded inputs simultaneously. Incoming live and playback video can be multiplexed, scaled up or down, de-interlaced, and displayed on two separate monitors. The main display output can simultaneously display up to 20 channels or 6 native VGA (640x480) video on a full HD 1080p monitor. In addition, there are four analog SPOT outputs that can be used to monitor live camera inputs. For video record, the TW2880 supports 16-channel real time and non-real time recording with flexible frame rate and resolution over 27MH, 54MHz and 108MHz clocks. The record output ports support BT.656, BT.1120 and BT.601 data formats. Special record modes such as mixed frame and mixed field switching modes are also supported. Record output stream can be in field or frame interleaved format. The playback input ports support BT.656, BT.1120, BT.601 and 16-bit digital RGB data formats. Up to 16 channels of playback video are supported. Other key features of TW2880 include triple 16-bit bitmap OSG windows, font OSD, channel ID encoder/decoder, and motion detector.
