Susan Eisenhower Discusses Endorsement of Obama on "Focus Washington" with Chuck Conconi

New Video Blog Moderated by Veteran Washington Journalist Chuck Conconi Features Interview of Presidential Granddaughter and Foreign Policy Expert on Republican Defections to Obama

WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - October 22, 2008) - Today, the news policy video blog "Focus Washington" spoke with Susan Eisenhower, president of the Eisenhower Group Inc., granddaughter of President Dwight D. Eisenhower, a former Republican Party official and now a supporter of Barack Obama for President. Veteran Washington journalist and "Focus Washington" moderator, Chuck Conconi, talked with Ms. Eisenhower on the direction of our country and why she left the Republican Party to endorse Senator Obama's campaign. Ms. Eisenhower just returned to Washington from campaigning for Barack Obama in Florida.

"I didn't leave the Republican Party, they left me," said Ms. Eisenhower. "The Republican Party today does not look a thing like it did during President Eisenhower's administration. I am very concerned about America's position in the world. This is why I endorsed Barack Obama -- because I do not see things changing without a new cast of characters in the White House."

Eisenhower has been vocal in her criticism of the Republican Party including the direction the McCain for President Campaign has taken the Party. "Many things have happened with the Republican Party over time. It is the way the campaign has been conducted. For instance, the choice of Sarah Palin was a signal to moderates in the party that the future of the party is to the hard right rather than to the sensible center."

In addition to comments from top Washington personalities and insiders, Conconi will be receiving weekly updates on the campaign trail from senior Democratic strategist Rich Masters and pollster Ron Faucheux, president of the Clarus Research Group. Masters is recognized as one of the top political and media relations experts in the U.S. and is also a partner at Qorvis; Faucheux is a leading political minds in polling and strategic research. "Focus Washington" also receives economic analysis from Alexander Mirtchev, founder and president of the Krull Corporation.

"Focus Washington" will be streamed to subscribers. It is also available on its own YouTube channel, http://www.youtube.com/focuswashington.
