WESTPORT, Conn., Dec. 18, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Proposal Software, Inc. (www.proposalsoftware.com) CEO John A. Laurino today announced that Colleen Charland has been named Manager, Client Services of the Westport, Conn.-based firm. Charland will be based in Huntington Beach, Calif.
Charland, who is currently public sector business development manager at UnitedHealthcare, will officially assume the new position January 1, 2008.

Charland will be leaving her position as public sector business development manager at the Minneapolis, Minn.-based UnitedHealthcare, a major provider of health care services for more than 26 million individual consumers nationwide. At UnitedHealthcare, Charland has been responsible for partnering with senior sales professionals to manage complex, high opportunity proposals. Prior to the merger between PacifiCare Health Systems, Inc., and UnitedHealthcare in December 2005, Charland managed a team of 7 proposal analysts and was responsible for the overall administration and database management of PMAPS(r), including training new hires to use the product.
Prior to joining PacifiCare Health Systems, Inc. in 2002, Charland was senior sales support specialist for UltraLink, an HR and benefits management company located in Costa Mesa, Calif. Prior to that, she served as senior marketing specialist at Aon Consulting in their Human Resources Consulting division.
