About two weeks ago, Identa was selected in a tender issued by the Romanian Ministry of the Interior. Identa will provide the Romanian Police with its drug detection kits.
The first order following the tender is for approximately 10,500 kits. By the end of the current year, we expect another two orders from the Romanian Ministry of the Interior, each for a similar quantity.
This success has led all professional agencies in Romania to switch to Identa kits.
This tender was particularly important as it is financed by the European Economic Community through Spain and Belgium.
Financing of the purchase by Western European agencies opens the door to opportunities to market Identa kits in Western Europe - one of Identa's key target markets in 2005.
Given the company's success with professional agencies in Romania, Identa is now in the advanced stages of penetrating its kits to the Romanian Ministry of Education for use in schools. This, too, is a market with significant potential.
