DDSI Names New Members to Board of Directors


FAIRLESS HILLS, Pa., Jan. 23, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Digital Descriptor Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:DDSI) a leading designer and marketer of digitized imaging systems for the criminal justice and security markets, today announced the Company has appointed Anthony Shupin, Vincent Moreno, Michael J. Pellegrino and Robert Gowell to the Company's Board of Directors.

DDSI Chairman and CEO Mr. Garrett U. Cohn commented, " We are pleased to add Mr. Moreno and Mr. Shupin to the company's Board as their technical marketing and development backgrounds combine to over 50 years of experience. I look forward to a more active Board in the strategic marketing, development and funding areas for the company."

Mr. Moreno is currently President of PayPlus Software, Inc., a provider of payroll software to the Professional Employer Organization marketplace, and has previously run a national provider of software services. He also served as Vice President of Technology at ADP for 13 years.

Mr. Shupin's background includes over 20 years of executive management including Deloitte Consulting, Director of International Business Development at Space Imaging, L.P. He was also Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Remark Industries, which marketed and manufactured on-line lottery, electronic gaming devices, medical monitoring and analysis devices among other electronics.

Mr. Pellegrino is Chief Financial officer of DDSI. Mr. Gowell has been associated with the company as an investor and previous board member for nearly three years.

The Board also received the resignation of Ms. Myrna Marks-Cohn, PhD. The Board of Directors thanks her for her energetic and selfless contributions to the company over the past years.
